The Child Whisperer is Flying off the Shelves

The Child Whisperer by Carol Tuttle was released October 23, 2012 on Amazon.  It sold out within hours of its release and is now available again. In other words, this book is "Flying off the shelves". I see this as evidence that people are starving and ready for relief and help in their parenting.  They realize that a “one-size-fits all” parenting approach doesn’t work with each child’s unique needs and personality within the family system, yet they don’t know what to do instead.  Help has come.

For parents who are longing for information that can help create happy, cooperative, healthy homes and families, The Child Whisperer contains solutions and unlocks doors of understanding.

It is a fantastic, cutting edge resource to empower moms and dads as they come to know how to raise children with more joy and confidence.  My children are raised, and it is still giving me insight into improving our relationships. I can see that it will help me establish growing bonds of respect and love with my grandchildren.

The Child Whisperer makes excellent gifts for anyone who works with children. This includes teachers and coaches.

Since this is launch week (October 23 through October 28, 2012), Carol Tuttle is offering $317 in BONUSES for books purchased by the 28th.  A license to access the bonuses will be given for EACH book purchased—even gift books.

Talk About It Tuesday: A Gift of Love

Talk About It Tuesday

Talk About It Tuesday is a daily blogging theme.
Talk about specific things you are doing this week to make a positive difference in your family line or about what you are doing to meet your family history goals.  For Generational Change-makers (those who have “Joined the Quest” at www.familytreequest.com), identify yourself as a GCM and tell what you are doing to meet any one of the three goals to 1) Glean Wisdom from the Past, 2)Live Mindfully in the Present, or 3) Prepare Confidently for the Future. Consider recording this post in your journal (history-in-the-making) or personal history records

I am a GCM and I'm living mindfully in the present today.  I am feeling an abundance of GRATITUDE for the loving kindness shown me and my husband from my second daughter, son-in-law and their young children yesterday.  They came over with a surprise "gift" of their time and energy.  The Fall decorations were put away (no small task) and out came the Christmas decorations, up they went, everything unnecessary was put away, the room was vacuumed, and dinner was even cooked and served.  All that was left was Christmas Spirit and a mother's heart that could "rest" from the unyielding strain of concern about how the mountainous task of decorating the home would get done this year.  What a gift!

Sometimes it's the gifts that don't cost money that mean the most in our hearts and homes.  Are you considering any acts of love and service this holiday season?  I'd love to hear about your plans

About our daily blogging themes:  I hope you will use these themes in your own posts for blogs, Facebook, Tweets etc. as well as read them here.  Please mention the title of the theme in your own original blog posts (example:  Talk About It Tuesday: (then your title—not in parenthesis) for blogs.  For Twitter posts, here are the hashtags:  Memory Lane Monday= #memlm, Talk About It Tuesday= #taitu, Resource Wednesday= #rwed, Thankful, Think About it Thursday= #ttaith, Family Tree Friday= #famtf

Sanity Saver: Christmas in July

RESOURCE WEDNESDAY

Providing Happy Traditions Strengthens Family Trees

I have had a wonderful summer and hope you have, too. We went to Utah for three weeks visiting family and then home for a week (to pay bills) then to California for more family time and then to my High School reunion, HOWEVER . . .

July is almost over, and I have almost missed one of my favorite things to do in July. I call it “Christmas in July”. (This can be applied to other holidays, as well.)

I have been surprised to see there are lots of other people who have a “Christmas in July” also. It’s meaning, to me, is that I simply get out my Christmas master planning paper, upon which I plan and list specific gifts that I will give to each family member, friend, neighbor, teachers or anyone else to whom I give a gift at Christmas. Then I begin my purchases (without using credit cards). I wrap the gifts and hide them away.

Each step has some handy tips I use to be able to remember where the gifts are and what’s inside. If you’d like to see more details about the process I use, click here. It’s found on my website, if you’re interested. While you’re there, you may want to scout around the navigation bar to explore the many family-oriented gifts that are available to be ordered online. I've put some links at the bottom of this post, as well.

I love Christmas in July. I plan early July, so that I will not be so pressured, rushed and hurried when the holidays begin. (I consider that to be in October, with Halloween.)

I’ve spent one too many holiday seasons feeling that I was missing lots of the fun, joy and peace because I had too much on my mind with planning, purchasing, wrapping, etc., etc., etc. I have a fairly large family and spinal issues that make shopping, standing and wrapping very difficult. This plan makes it easier for me in every way. I’d like to hear some great ideas you have as well. Please feel free to comment and share with other readers some holiday sanity saver ideas you use to avoid the pressures that traditional events can bring or let me know if my plan helps you, too.

As promised, here’s some links to get you started:
